I (24f) just relocated to Salt Lake City, Utah. I am from the southeast, so all of my banking has been done through Regions most of my life. Regions is not available here. I will be in SLC for at least the next two years so it makes sense to transfer to a nationally available bank. That being said, I’ve done some research but am thoroughly overwhelmed by my options. I have a credit card with Chase and with Capital One, so would banking with one them be a logical choice? I’m really looking to just have a checking account and a savings account with a low yield return. I also have a few grand invested with Charles Schwab.
Essentially I’m asking for advice on which direction to go at this juncture. There are so many options and it’s difficult to decide since my parents essentially chose Regions for me as a child, and I never had to be involved in that decision.
Thanks in advance!
